It is a pleasant drive through the valley the way it used to be (farms primarily). It comes to a T at River Road. Make a right. It will bring you back up into town on the North end. Make a left at the light (Route 16) and NCA will be on the left. Bill and Janet are great people. Nate (natefish on this site) guides out of there and may be in the shop too. All are extensively knowledgeable about the area and know what is currently hot. They also have some great maps of the area available. I think they have a couple on their website to check out as well.
I think you'll be fine with the weather. The severe stuff is going to be isolated to the coast. Be prepared for some rain tonight, but the rest of the weekend is going to be perfect.
Good Luck,
--Rich

Hello Dean,
There are Brook Trout all up and down the Kanc in the Pemi. The Saco in North Conway has been fishing really well and so has the Ellis (Jackson). The Swift river usually has good fishing as well. I would take the family into North Conway for some food and ice cream and stop at North Country Anglers. It is right on route 16 as you head out the North end of town. You can bypass all of the shops by taking West Side Road in Conway .

Hi Rich,
Allow me to introduce myself. I've been FF for about 3 years after my son got me started with a surprise fly rod for Christmas. I now have my wife interested as well and we are making family trips to fish the local streams in MA, NH and ME.
I learned about you from FFOTW and thought you might be able to suggest some streams or lakes in the Pemi area this weekend. We are willing to hike in a bit and did have great success in Beaver Pond this past spring (it just had been stocked).
We are going to take our chances with Earl tonight and drive up to secure a camp site at Hancock for the weekend.
Thanks for any help you would like to offer.
Best regards,
Dean Wormell
