Casting - The Short Game, Taylor Streit. “A big trout rises a few feet away. The excited angler bombards the fish with casts, but the trout never sees the fly - and the fish is spooked by all the commotion. Very
few fly fishermen can make the tight loop necessary to make short accurate casts.” The mechanics required for “the short game” are the same as those necessary for all casts so this class will improve all areas of casting. The self taught and beginners are especially welcome.
Author and guide Taylor Streit has been teaching people to cast for decades and has developed an intuitive style of instruction that will take the mystery out of fly casting. This indoor class runs for 2 hours. Tiny fly rods (appx. 3') will be provided as there is not enough room to use regular length rods; these practice rods have been used for many years and are perfect for indoor classes in tight quarters; they are such excellent instructional tools a number of fly casting schools even use them outdoors. Class size limited to 6

Nymphing, Ed Engle. Trout feed beneath the surface ninety percent of the time - learn the nymphing secrets that will help you catch them. Ed is one of the nation’s leading practitioners of this inscrutable art. In a classroom setting he will explain through words, pictures and demonstrations exactly how to regularly catch trout on nymphs. This class is for beginners and veteran fly fishers and anyone else needing help with this bread and butter technique.
Class size limited to 12
