Archery Pond at Bearbrook State Park looks great after the work that was done during the off season. I fished the pond today for a couple of hours. The conditions were breezy and sometimes just plain windy. I saw one angler catch a trout on a "Shoe Felt." Wish I could tell you about all the fish I caught but, it would be a big "fish story."
I checked the Lamprey on my way back to the shop. 50 degree water and running high. If tomorrow's forecast holds true, I think the river should stay on the drop. I'd bet that Sunday and Monday our rivers will improve nicely.
Stonehouse has been fishing nicely. I got a report that a mayfly hatch came off at the beginning of this week and fish were caught on dry flies. As the week went on they were hitting the emergers.
