Report from WS Hunter & Company

Since the weather has been good, took the opportunity on Thursday (5/25) to fish Willard pond by float tube. Water temperature was still a little cool. Had to stay in the coves away from the wind but the fishing was good and managed to catch some nice fish. Some flies were hatching but mainly fished wets.
Tuesday (5/30) was a beautiful day so we took advantage of it and fished Massabesic. It was breezy but as long as you stayed in the coves the fishing was fun. We used deer hair poppers on the surface and were very successful. Small mouths were caught as well as a red breast sun fish. A BIG red breast sun fish (just as much fun to catch on a fly rod as the small mouths were). There were big black stone flies hatching and saw a water snake.
