Anyone else in NH hear/feel this? I live about 1/2 mile from North Beach in Hampton and heard this "loud and clear" from my bedroom just before 3:00 this morning. I figured it must have been a bad car accident on 1A, but never heard any sirens. Supposedly it was heard as far north as Somersworth and Wells, ME.
Just curious.

Steve
I live in Danvers  I live less than a mile from the site. I live on RT 62. I thought a truck slamed into my house. I was knocked across my bed. We had a lot of things fly off of the walls but no damage to the house. I shxt my pants at 2:47 am. I'm not ashamed to say  I do know a few of the people that lost everything. My brothers girlfriend works at pelltier carpet and they lost a good part of their roof. They have over 3mil in exsposed inventory with rain on the way :( I feel bad that I wont be offering my carpentry services. I tried working with a home owner and his insurance co. last feb. and allmost ended up in court. They are saying 90-100 homes have damage  with only 10 injured and no deaths. The governor of MA said the blast was equal to a 2K lb bomb!
I hope everyone has a great thanksgiving, and I hope to see some of the members at Tom's on Dec 9 th.

Hey Steve,
I lived in Peabody when the Tannery went up. Where abouts was the chemical plant?

If you take Water St (danvers) heading to Bishop Fenwick / Pulaski St (peabody) right before you cross the Danvers River, the building was on your left. It was behind Abbett Fence co. and Danversport Bakery. It was accross the street from Eastern Propane! and Harvey Industries. Quite a few buisineses in downtown Peabody had their windows blown out and they are 3 miles away!

Dang.... We used to soak squid off that bridge. More than a few times I would go through the holes in there fence to fish off the docks.

It used to be at night.
Through that bridge is a big estuary, the keepers would come up and sit in the out flow picking off what came out.
Just as an aside, you can catch tons of eels at High bridge.
Also there is a strain of pheasents in the industrial park off pulsaki street that has an odd color morph. It is kind of cool to see, they are almost the exact opposite of what they should be.
