Does anybody know the staus on the ice? I would think it would be close to being out.

It doesn't really matter as you can't legally fish it until the fourth Sat. in April and in 36 years of fishing it it is always out by then, only onc do I ever remember a few stubborn sheets of ice on the opener.

Be sure to check the F&G rule book before you fish any body water. All designated Trout ponds in NH open on April 23 (although, there may be some exceptions, that's why you need to check the book).
