Did anyone get down to the sea coast yesterday?
Devestating... much of the storm berm is gone.

I live on North Beach in Hampton. I left work yesterday morning around 9:30am intending to take 1A north to Portsmouth where I work. South of 27/1A (towards Hampton Beach) had already been closed by the police. I headed north in my Blazer, which has 31s and excellent ground clearance, but repeatedly tested my nerves driving through puddles that would have surely swamped a conventional auto. Waves were easily clearing the seawall and breaking on the opposite side of 1A. Twice I had to swerve around a lobster trap in the middle of the road, not to mention sizeable rocks and driftwood. I got as far as Rye and the police were in the process of blocking this section. I could see that conditions were even worse ahead. Turned around and got out of there via Rt. 111.
And this was all a full hour before high tide.

Wow, did you snap any pictures? I saw some on the news but I would like to see what remains after high tide. I fish up there all the time.

I'm on my way back today to check on a few things.
