Massachusetts: Well, we’ve finally received the first documented report of a fresh-run striper being caught. Kay Moulton at Surfland on Plum Island reports a fifteen-inch schoolie was taken off the beach and she feels that it won’t be long until more follow. “We’ve had some good, reliable reports of alewives below the Lawrence Dam on the Merrimack. Cormorants are working them, so it won’t be long before the stripers are also here to feed on them. It’s against the law to take herring here in Massachusetts, so be aware of that. We’ve had a lot of interest in winter flounder—people asking us if they are here, but nobody actually catches them in the winter, when they go dormant.”

Solid,

I've read recent reports of stripers being caught regularly on Martha's Vineyard. It won't be long now!!!
I'm dreaming of my first day when it's 90 degrees and I can stand and cast in the water without waders. Those are the best days. Only getting out of the water for a fresh brew. 8)
