Report Late, Was camping with the Family in Maine, Old Orchard. Scoped a couple of places to fish but never happened.
So the Mack, Meet with Steamtrain at the Methuen Park and Ride for a Night of striper fishing. He had a Awesome Steak and Cheese Sub in Hand. Was a quick drive to Cashmans, good fish talk.
We had a nice tide to fish, it just turned to out when we arrived. The problem we had was a really nasty wind, just non stop blowing a good 15-20. Pretty rough even in the river. We Fished from the pumping station to the moth with not a Bump, I made the decision to Motor out and over to the PI Beaches. Was a bit bumpy but not the 2-4 forecasted. Arrived to perfect conditions, other than the wind. Sandbars, rocks and current ripping. But no bait and no fish.
Up until this time we had hung tough with the Long Rods, I was the first to cave. I pointed to a place where there was a flat area between to breaking waves. There is a fish there I proclaimed, Cast out my Trusty Netters Sand Lance, Bang Fish on, 20” or so. It was getting late so we ran back to the Mouth and fished around the first Bar, Started getting consistent fish to 20”. Just to Windy to effectively fly fish.

Stayed out pretty late. Caught enough fish to be satisfied. No Hogs and no keepers, probably the last night of this season fishing in T-Shirt and shorts.
To Bad we did catch one of these, read a report on another board.
