So, I had to visit a client today in Southern Maine. While driving up Route 1, I noticed an Orvis outlet store in Kittery that I had never seen before. I thought I was imagining it, but apparently it has been open for about a month. It is the opposite side of the road from Bob's Clam Hut, about 200 yards north of the river.
On the back wall, they had the Fly Fishing gear for 40% off. There were about ten kits of the 'No-Rust' fly boxes, loaded with 30 salt water flies, for 30 bucks. If I was reading everything right, that's 18 bucks for 30 flies and a no-rust flybox.
I am not a salt water fly fisher, but it seemed like a bargain to me.
