Hit The Mack at the end of the incoming, water temps have definitely dropped. Motored to the east end of Joppa , drifted the edge on the tide while casting around. Picked up a one little guy on a Small Sand Ell Fly with my buddy picking up one on Hardware. Loads of Krill around, Few Seals around as well. Found a surface feed on the North side of the river in some skinny water (2-3ft). I was set up with just my 350Gr, even ripping the fly in hand over hand could not get it up fast enough. I use an Intermediate running line with my set up, if it was a floater might have had it easier. Next time I will have my spare 9 wght rigged with full intermediate rigged. Would come in handy on the PI Sound side as well. The boys hit a few with hardware when the action dies we worked are way towards the mouth.
There was a Stiff East Wind with some large swell (5-6ft). Marked allot of fish out front, there was some unorganized bird activity with a few surface pops here and there. Guys were jigging small metals and Netters Sand Lances. I was throwing a large Chartreuse and White Clousers with Gold Eyes. Picked up some blues and Bass, With one being just legal. And some Nice blues in the Mix.
