Can anyone advise me how to remove grease from one's waders? Seems I have managed to get some on mine. Perhaps I picked it up when I had my waders on the backseat floor of my truck, maybe grease from the frontseat adjustment track. Well, however I got the grease on the waders, I am having difficulty removing it. The label in the waders instructs to use only 'fresh' water, no detergent and no machine wash. As one might imagine, using just water, either hot or cold, has little effect on grease. Anyone have any advice or experience in this regard? :(

Hopefully one of the shop owners will have some insight for you. I might try that Oxyclean stuff...I think that's what it is called. I think Home Depot sells it now. I would try to stick to an organic type cleaner but maybe dish soap would break it down? Maybe call L.L. Bean's "Fly Fishing Hotline"... 800-FISH-LLB (800-347-4552) and ask them?

If all else fails try Dawn dish detergent it lifts grease and oils away from surfaces but won't dry out your hands. :D

It is mild and has worked on rain coats for me before. You might have to do it a few times.
