Needed to get the Stink off on a Big WAY today, Last Haba trip ended with a $500 repair bill and no fish, yesterday’s 13HR Tuna trip was nothing more than a Whale watching excursions with the bonus of getting beat up in choppy seas all day.

Some folks have items they do not allow on their boat, Banana’s, Women etc.
I am not very suppositious but was getting close to keeping a certain person 50ft from my boat and all tackle at all times. I won’t mention any names as this is a great angler and just a all around “Solid” guy.

To offset the Bad Mojo and foul whether JOUJOU I needed some Luck, Had a great outing with WetFly figured he would bring some luck to my once productive Bass Sled. This spring we had a great first trout trip and I had talked up the Haba bite that was going on right out his back door, this was the perfect day

Well Almost Perfect

The weather reports were Bad, Rain in the Am then the wind to pick up at 2PM to 30Knots , Small Craft Advisory for the afternoon. Figured we would skip the Morning Socking. And get a couple of Hours in before it got real nasty.

Meet at 9AM , Weather was Humid and Warm. Into Fish immediately. They were picky at first. Allot of retrieve tweaking and a leader change and we were dialed in and Wailing away. Many triples and One QUAD! We had a good rhythm, 3 people FF can be a bear in any boat but this went very well. All about Height, Solid is 7ft Tall and I am 4ft Tall, Plenty of room in between

We came close to getting blown off the water when the wind picked up, It was like someone turned a Fan on. One Minute breezy next minute dangerous! I have been out in allot of bad weather , this was very bad . NOA was spot on today as it was super nasty out there.

Wet Fly , Showing How Easy it is to un wrap the prop in 3ft’ers

We had options , To many fish to bail on though and we were still getting it done without resorting to hardware “And Falling out of the boat”. Casting was tough, we would just position way ahead of the breaking fish and set a drift, the drift was so fast all you had to do was play out some line, the rest was all retrieve.

Lots of Fat Bass no Large, Allot of 24” range and some Blues. To many fish to count.
The Fall is To Short!

Spotted my next rig parked in the inner Haba

Helicopter would make it allot easier to get back to Pelham! But I just don’t see any casting decks? Have to Pass on this one
PS. Hard to Believe that picture was tacken Today! Crazy Weather
