Hey guys just wanted to let everyone know that Kevin McKay's site maineflyfish.com will be having a striper outing this june on the 11th and 12th. Here is the info that is posted on that websiteunder their saltwater forum. If any of you are interested you can sign up on that site.
The MaineFlyFish.Com First Annual Striper Outing
Friday June 10- Sunday June 12, 2005
In Cape Neddick Harbor, Maine
Maine Gazetteer; Map 1
Accommodations will be at the Cape Neddick Campgrounds. http://www.harbourview.com/
We will reserve the sites for Friday Night, Saturday and Sunday.
All minors will be required to have a permission slip from their parent or guardian. Some seniors will be required to do the same.
Food and beverage issues will be addressed in another thread, as the date gets closer.
Weekend Agenda
Friday:
Friday night will be care free to allow everyone to show up at his or her leisure. The evening tides are good for fishing and the campground offers excellent fishing on site and a short walk or paddle away.
Saturday Morning:
We will break up into groups to fish the shore or paddle about at the local hot spot de jour.
Saturday Noon:
We’ll meet back at the campsite for lunch and discussions on saltwater topics.
Saturday Afternoon- Early Evening: We’ll catch the afternoon tide on a Float Tube Only trip up and down the York River. Those unable to attend the Float Trip will paddle about with me at an alternative location.
Saturday Night:
We’ll meet up at the campground for a hot meal to warm those cold bones and reflect on the day’s activities amongst friends. For the diehards there is the potential for an evening casting session at the beach or off the campsite.
Sunday Morning:
Will be a free for all with groups breaking out to fish from shore or paddle about. We will take next years potential locations and hosts and put them in a hat and have the youngest or prettiest of the bunch pick it out.
As we speak we are working out Demo Rods from Albright and raffle goods. We should make up a ‘big fish pool’ with a prize of some sorts. There has also been the request for fly tying in the evening.
Other than that it is fish, fishing, and more fishing in the saltwater of corse….
Community fly box:
There will be a box full of flies that everyone will be able to use

Other than that your everyday gear is fine.
This is a list of the participants who are looking to borrow gear and the list of participants who have extra gear to lend.
