8:50 am – Plenary Session–Sunday River/Boyne: Looking into the Future
9:15 am – Concurrent Session 1
Fishing – Upper Androscoggin to Gulf Island Pond
Speakers will address the coldwater fishery of the Upper Androscoggin and the Bass fishery of the lower river. Topics include becoming a “DestinationFishery,” quantity and quality of fish, needs for access, and economic benefits– present and future. Presenters: Bob Milne; Bill Pierce, Maine IFW.
Land and Water Trails
Speakers will review existing and proposed trails throughout the river valley. Participants will also spend some time discussing the possibilities and the potential forinter connected trail networks.
Presenters: Kate Williams, NorthernForest Canoe Trail; Wende Gray, Outdoor Tourism Consultant; Jonathan Labonte, Androscoggin Land Trust/L/A Trails Alliance.

10:40 am – Concurrent Session 2
ATV/Snowmobiling
A panel will discuss the issues involved with motorized sports including need for access, trail needs, trail maintenance, the Berlin ATV park, private property issues, and economic benefits. The session will also provide a brief forum to obtain input on anticipated needs to improve opportunities. Presenters: Chris Gamache, NH Dept. of Resource and Economic Development; Bob Meyers, Maine Snowmobile Association.
Shore land Development
The shoreline of the Androscoggin is changing. There are areas that require protection and there are areas that will be attractive for development. The panel will explore the issues from Umbagog to Brunswick – potential impacts on the land, the river, the resources, and the economy. An opportunity will be provided for participants to provide input on the shore land development. Presenters: Steve Wight, outfitter and inn owner; Lincoln Jeffers, Assistant Administrator, City of Lewiston; John Maloney, Senior Planner, Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments.

David Vail, Adams-Catlin Professor of Economics, Bowdoin College; co-director of the Maine Center for Economic Policy project, Spreading Prosperity to All of Maine. Developing tourism in western Maine.
1:20 pm – 2:20 pm
Recreation and Tourism
Discussion of the potential for outdoor tourism in the Androscoggin River Valley
Topics covered will include infrastructure and marketing needs, and the existing and potential benefits. Presenters: Robin’s consultant and Sunday River’s consultant. George Ball, NH Dept. of Resources and Economic Development, Carolan Ouellette, Maine Office of Tourism, DECD.
2:20 pm – 3:10 pm
Presentations on Trail Development and other recreational activities by communities and groups along river from Umbagog to Brunswick. All trail advocates invited to participate.
