How about an informal gathering mid May? I'm thinking we could stay at the campground on 16 on the Ando. People who wanted to fish the Andro could, bikers could ride into the Diamond, the Upper Ammousouc (sp) etc...

I'm up for it. Keep it going Ken, I'll be there even if it's just you and I.

I'm in. I have a charity bike ride on May 15th (Ken, get off your tail and ride it with us. Lori and Nick are doing the 25 miler - you should be able to keep up with them) and we have the FFIM clean up the 14th. How about the 21st or 22nd? The week after that is Mem. day - too busy.

I'll throw in! I am planning to be up there fishing around that time. I'd love to check out some water I've not fished before.

How about the 6/7th or 7/8th? I need to space my fishing weekends apart ( FFIM conclave)!

That would work for me but consider that the mountains have had more than 3 ft. of snow in the past week and a half. There sounds like another big storm on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. The snow pack is getting deep and these cold temps are keeping it there. It may be a late spring melt and I expect there to be high, cold water later than usual this spring. I hate to say it but I think later is better.

I'm in no matter what. Maybe a road trip over the border to Mill Brook for some smelting one evening!

Let's see what happens the rest of the winter. We can certainly do a day trip on May 7th as an early alternative. Some guys can fish the Andro and some can do a ride in to the Diamond and then we'll have afew cold ones at the end.

Paul, hopefully you didn't bust that toe kicking someone in the @#$!

PW-

I guess you're not trying on your waders any time soon! I feel for you tho- nothing worse than whacking a toe on the furniture & finding out you broke it (assuming that's what happened...... ); at least you'll be alright by the time the season opens! And what an excuse to stay home and tie some flies!

KenB,

What do you mean by the "Diamond"?

Hey Guys
I don't think you have to bike the Diamond you can drive all the way along to 4 mile brook. and thats atleast 15 miles of river with nice waterfalls and swimming holes and Pools. Last year I was there early and it was unfishable.
It all depends on if the gate is open or not. Let me know before you go and I will let you know if the gate is open. there is also a website you can get a web cam and info on the area. www.swiftdiamondriders.com
