Sorry guys I know this is way early but I am going crazy thinking about saltwater fishing!
I know that last year’s event wasn’t that great as far as fishing goes, but it was still a good time (thanks to the Shad). There was some talk of different locations late last year so I wanted to start a thread and get some ideas on possible spots.
I see there is some interest in Kayaks, maybe there could be a group of Kayaks, and maybe some people will bring boats? Perhaps some of the group could fish different locations and meet up after? What about camping? There are lots of things to discuss so let’s get started!

Saco bay around the 7th of September.P-nuts all around, not many tourists, cheap rooms and stripers up the wahzoo! Real blast when the stripers push the p-nuts into the flats and against the inner islands.Wading with stripers all around you is fun.

I hear ya. I'm up for pretty much anywhere. I'll bring my yak (Pungo 120) so those considering a kayak can take it for a test paddle/cast.

I am definately in for this. I have been wanting to get together with a bunch of the folks on this site for a while. I have two Ocean Kayaks that I can bring with me if someone needs one! Keep me in the loop!

For location I like the ME idea or Cranes Beach area. Or maybe someplace in NH. How about we do two one spring one fall.
For spring I would like to do Cranes Beach area

I'm definitely in too, what about somewhere on Great Bay?

I'm in and an overnighter would be cool.
I have a few yaks myself.
There are a few places in the Hampton marshes that hold schoolies up the yang all spring long. I know another place in Portsmouth. I'm sure Great Bay has a few spots as well, but most of my early season fish from GB are in the lower river areas, so they are not so good to wade.
But, with that said, the last 5 seasons have been unpredictable and the fish settled into a different pattern each spring.

Ok folks, there are confirmed reports of fish being caught, lets set a date for this get together.
I like the idea of Crane Beach, but I have never fished there before so who knows?

Plum Island should be good as well.

Jun 14th or Jun 21st. Both Sat. have early low tides. The 14th is 3:30 am and the 21st is 8:17 am. I like fishing the incoming tides, seem to be most productive.
These are just a couple ideas, I am game for anything but I do think that we should stay south.

I believe there is a place in New Castle on the water to rent some yaks. And I happen to really like the area because there are many structure/water types within paddling distance.

Thanks for leading the charge guys, I am working on a new project and have had not time for anything but family\work.
I can't do JUN21 but can do JUN23.
Would also like to do a Fall one in Maine. Got MV derby plans this year so that may be tight.

Anyone else have any location or date ideas? I need to nail down the dates if I am going to go.

Lots of recent reports that Jppa is heating up. Might be time to take the yak to the salt.
