Hello FF in NH. My name is Sean Smith. I’ve posted here a couple of times. I’m the president of Great Bay TU and a NH Fly Fishing Guide. I asked the moderators of this forum if I could mention my guide service and they gave the ok. I’m really available to guide in two distinctive areas of our state. I’m very familiar with southern NH and in the opposite direction, as one my friends likes to call it, “Up on Top” in Pittsburg, NH
Locally, I’ve found the fishing to be great over the past 3 weeks. I haven’t been skunked yet and I usually fish at least an hour every day.
To answer your question I’m fishing rivers between Manchester and Hampton. All freshwater and this afternoon I caught many on dry flies.
This year Timberland Lodge (a place I highly recommend for lodging in Pittsburg) and myself are pleased to announce the offering of 3 fly fishing clinics. I have been fishing the Connecticut River for 10 years. Over that time I’ve developed a passion for teaching fly-fishing on this idyllic river.
These classes are perfect for beginner fly fishermen. The day and a half seminars include casting lessons, understanding how trout feed, basic fly tying and a full day fishing on the Connecticut River.
Seminar dates:
You can choose which 2 days suits you best over the following dates:
June 14th through 18th
July 5th through the 9th
October 11th through the 15th
Seminars will include casting lessons, learning how to read a trout stream and in particular the Connecticut River for Trout and Salmon, a basic Fly Tying Course and a full day being guided on the Connecticut River. All of your gear use and flies are included.
For more information about my guide service and/or these classes please visit my website nhfishingguide.home.comcast.net/ or email me at Scoop39@comcast.net
