The State of Maine’s Atlantic Salmon Commission will be hosting a public informational meeting to discuss the Commission’s Strategic Plan. The plan describes broad recommendations to be implemented over the next 10 years for recovery of Atlantic salmon statewide and focuses on five elements: a paradigm shift, public and private partnerships, outreach and community engagement, assessment, monitoring and research and regulatory and governance roles.

The purpose of these meetings is to inform stakeholders of the content of the plan, to discuss the plan and to discuss next steps. This is not a Public Hearing nor part of a formal Public Comment Period. This is an informational meeting only.

Copies of the plan will be available on-line on May 20th.
