View Full Version : Adirondack fishing advice
I realize this is a NH fly fishing page but some of you guys travel around. I'm going camping next weekend at Lake Eaton (near Long Lake). I’m a fishing junkie so I can't go to the mountains and not bring some gear along. From the info I've found online so far it seems most of the lakes in the area are warm water. I would think there should be some cold water trout streams or ponds nearby? If anyone has some info they would like to share I'd greatly appreciate it. This is my first trip to the area so any info will go a long way.

What are you doing tonight? Feel like meeting at the usual spot?
I'd love to but I have plans tonight. Once it starts to stay light out a little bit longer I'd be up for making the run up north after work. Soon!!! BTW what happened at Dublin Lake last week!!! Nobody said anything.

Nobody showed up. Probably just as well, the wind was blowing a gale and even the folks in boats were doing nothing.

What town(s) are those in?

I get it, Long Lake is the name of the town. Not sure how far you want to drive but Elba, Wilmington are pretty close by and home to the Au Sable, which in my opinion is a top class trout stream. Definitely one of my favorites and a good time of year to go. HEre are a few sites. I recommend visiting Fran Betters' shop. He is a local fly-fishing legend and a great guy.
