Found this pic from 13 seasons ago - the apples are Northern Spies from a tree in the yard of my families house in Freedom. The rod came from Bill Franke - it was a little 6' Diamondback. I still have the reel - and the memories! Cheers, Alec

What a great picture. I am also a Freedom resident and one of the Shaw Pond faithful.

That is a great picture. I fished Shawtown for the first time in about 12 years last fall and was amazed at the amount of people there. People from shore, in boats, canoes, float tubes...wow  . I always remember sharing the pond with one or two other people. The special regulations and big fish must really have attracted people. Even with all the people I was glad NOT to see any trash. It was nice to see the pond again and fish an old haunt.

Is that a Hardy Princes reel on maybe an Orvis rod?
