I've been kicked to the beech, being 70 has nothing to do with it. All the crap that comes with not being bullit-proof has caught up with me. So now I'm back to learning where the best Fall beeches are, weather they are incoming or outgoing strong. structure, firm sand is now a real must. Any NH suggestions? I sure as He-- am not going to stop fishing.

Last year, on September 21, I was into blitzing fish on the NH coast, the year before that it was the 29th... serious blitzes you wait for, huge schools with birds right on top. For the most part, they stayed a little out of reach, but some patience would always pay off and they'd move into the bowls of water nestled in the rocks etc... Nate and I did a recon yesterday and nothing was observed. We just drive and pullover, spot, and move on to the next. When it is on it is really something!

You might want to seriously consider Albie fishing too... just set up a lawn chair on the West Wall and when all of a sudden everyone starts casting, throw a line out and hold on...

Howdoo Bob! :)

... you are talkin bout fishin' right? ;)

... just wanna make sure, 'cuz your post could be about your boatin days, or it could also qualify as one hell of a metaphore for a recent, but abruptly ended relationship with some sassy, long legged young thang too!!! :)

... ole' Chucka and I might know a spot or two that may bring a smile to your face! We just need to know which kinda fish we're chasin, 'cuz we got spots for both!!! ;)

Hey Bob,
Here are a few places I'd prefer not to see printed in you're magazine.

Seabrook:
The front of the dune where the Duck Boat Lands. Park at the Aframe parking lot, it is a short walk to the Path. When you hit the suds, from there north to the first set of rocks.

Hampton:
Look North to the right Plaice, epic. nuff said.

N. Hampton:
Look to the place where Godfreys Reaches Past the Dune and up into Town. I saw SBFT pop up within casting distance of the Dune back in 02. A little cobbley at low tide but not bad.

Rye:
South pocket of Rough Throat. It is easy walking but it is over ankle roller cobbles.

These are all easy walking spots that I barely meet anyone at. If you No the coast you can find these spots.

To clarify the initial post stripers are always my #1 target. Again, as was the case in many of my fly-tying classes , I would assume much too much, sorry for the confusion.
As to the possibility of suggested locations winding up in my Magazine, the nine year association has been severed. It was always my policy to express the pleasure of a great spot but leave much of the particulars to the wandering nature of the fisherman.
I truly appreciate the suggestions and due to the limited nature( physically) of my wandering ability' they hold great value for Me.
Some I am familiar with but there are a couple that hit me right were I want to be. Thanks for all the replies, I'll be watching and reporting my success or lack of same. One of the first things I will do is take pictures off the beeches at dead low tide. One seaward and the same pic behind Me, to be able to identify structure in the water at high tide when I'm at the same spot. Ed Mitchell (No relation) gave me that tip years ago. It works, all game fish use structure to trap feed. Be they trout, salmon or stripers. Thanks again for the info.

Bob come on up to Saco,Maine.Seven miles of beautiful firm sand beaches, tidal flats and wadable estuaries.Right square in the middle of striper country. And the run will begin here within two weeks. All you could ask for just 30 minutes north of Portsmouth.

Take 95 to the Saco exit (36).Drive straight down the ramp into old Orchard Beach.Easiest access will be at Bay View.Tourists are gone and parking is not a problem.
