Hmmmmm!!! Boneylegs, I'm wondering what you see as the advantage of the slotted beads over the double drilled cyclops beads? I usually tuck some lead into the back of the bead to hold it up against the eye. I don't see that happening with the slotted bead. Believe me, right now even tungsten and the lead won't help in the Androscoggin. It's cooking in good shape. It's been a strange one this year. I've never seen the wild temperature changes and flow this heavy this late. From Thursday to Saturday it went up six degrees. But I digress, what is it you see in this slotted bead?

Owl-
The biggest thing I see with the slotted eye is not needing the added lead to hold the bead in position. I also like to try new things and these caught my eye. This is my first season tying with beads (I know....old dog-- new tricks) and when I get into something, I go all the way experimenting....
I haven't tried these yet, so if anyone has a report to shed some light (positive & negative)....please do!
