Some of you may remember a thread from a while ago about a local pattern that was supposed to be "the fly" for East Pond up in the whites.

Those who know me will note that I am a sucker for local patterns and techniques, especially in this day and age, when it seems that flyfishing has a decidedly western slant to it.
The fact that this is not yet another bugger variant or brown nymph is a plus for me as well. I immediately tied up a pair of them and they sat in my fly box. Just before the season ended for trout ponds, a friend of mine was heading up in that area, so I gave him the flies and told him to give them a try.
They were the only flies that he caught fish on up there.
So I guess this is a thanks to freestone for the pattern, and everyone else, give this one a try sometime.
