takes a broad look at the Great Lakes
steelhead fishery, including its history, species,
and fishing techniques. He’ll explore fly-fishing
techniques, equipment, flies, and rigging and
take a look at tributary locations available to
enjoy this fishery in New York and Michigan.

Let’s Go Fishing:
Introduction to Fly-Tying
In this workshop you’ll be introduced to the
tools, materials, threads, and hooks required
for fly-tying. Then, in a hands-on session, you’ll
learn to tie nymph, wet, streamer, and dry
flies. Tools and materials will be provided, but
participants may bring their own if they have
them. For adults, and children over twelve if
accompanied by an adult. Class size limited;
