Does anybody happen to know the background on the Woods Special? I found out it was originated by Joe Sterling. I have no idea where he is from or what his reasoning was for this pattern. It is a great fly in many colors. I have seen it be very effective on the EO of the Kennebec and it produces here in NH also.
