Excellent new NH/VT band's
Guys I relaize this isn't a music board but but what fly fisherman doesn't appreciate music?
Stackedband is out of Burlington, VT and Bryan my step son, is playing bass on the recordings. I really like the tune “Pilot”.
I believe they are an excellent band with great music.

Learn to Swim,
Is a band out of Kean NH. The recordings here do not include Bryan or the present drummer. These demo recordings were made by the vocalist and the two guitarists picked up playing bass and drums for the recording. Now with Bryan and the adition of a great drummer, Bryan says it is a dynamite band and getting a good following with the 18 – 24 year old crowd as you can see from the number of hits they get.

Well, in that case, my nephew, Matthew, is drummer in a band nominated for two Juno awards (Canadian equivalent of the Grammie) -- Plants & Animals.

Unlike Bobby, I can assure you all that I had absolutely no influence on my relation's musical ability; otherwise he would still be in the garage. :-?

Saw him once, show lasted 3minutes. Can't describe why it was shut down due to site decency policy's . His music was awful , all about attitude.

There is also a group called The Wildlife Refugees with a CD called
"Fish Tunes"
info at...
http://www.fishtunes.net/
I saw them a couple of weeks ago,
they have allot of songs that have to do with fishing
with a blue grassy, country rock, kind of sound
A couple of weeks ago they had been on the morning show
at 107.7 FM "The Pulse"
They also have songs up on you tube,
you can find the links on there web site,
They are funny guys that are passionate about fishing
and worth checking out.
Good Luck,
:-)

I checked it out! Is this a Nova Scotia band? It was some wild eyed video! There are many excellent musicians from Nova Scotia. The place is crawling with them. I don't exactly know where it comes from but music tops fishing in Nova Scotia. I have a CD of GrayLocks from Bedeck, ,Cape Brenton that is outstanding. Have you ever listened to them?
Did you check out Bryan's bands?

I hope you didn't pay to see that guy? I checked it out and he sounds scary and to think he lived just up the road from me! It is enough to give me chills!
I'll check out the fishing band.

Bobby,
Plants and Animals might be considered a NS band. Matthew and Warren are friends since primary school through high school in Halifax, NS. However, they were both living in Montreal when they decided to start the band; so Montreal claims them.
Nova Scotia has a fine musical tradition, principally in Celtic, fiddle, and folk music, but some rock musicians as well. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_MacIsaac
and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rita_MacNeil
and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natalie_MacMaster
(Natalie, cousin to Ashley MacIsaac, has played with Carlos Santana and recorded with Yo-Yo Ma)
The list would be quite long. Some of the older musicians would be John Cameron, Ann Murray, and Hank Snow.

You are going to make me home sick! There isn't anyplace I would rather be when not in Vermont than in NS.
Did you listen to Stacked?
Have you listened to GrayLocks from Beddeck?
