:?:
Does anybody know if the Pelham Fish and Game Club is having a fly fishing show like they did last year? If so, when?
Thanks,
Bob

Bob, Thanks for asking!
The Merrimack River Valley TU chapter and Pelham Fish and Game Club are once again co-sponsoring the New Hampshire Fly Fishing show next Saturday and Sunday. Go to our web site for information www.merrimacktu.org

See you there,
Gerry

Gerry-
I've added information on the topic to our frontpage http://flyfishinginnh.com. Let me know if it looks alright.

Gerry, nice to see everything you guys are working on right now. Any updates on Black Brook?

Yes, there is some news on Black Brook. There was a public information session in late January about removing the Maxwell pond dam on Black Brook. The short story: the dam blocks fish passage to Black Brook - could be trout, salmon, shad, river herring, etc. moving to and from the Merrimack River. NH DES has notified City of Manchester to either repair or remove the dam. Repair and dredging of the pond would cost over a million dollars of Manchester taxpayer budget. Removal would cost almost nothing, due to federal and state grants. Any residents of Manchester, please call or write your Alderman to request removal of the dam.
Once the dam (hopefully) is removed we will be proceeding on restoration work to stabilize banks, and work to clear the channel at the sand/gravel works. That is the latest.
