For fish to move up a river in particular salmon and brook trout during spawning. If they enter the mouth of the river how long would it take them to work their way up 2 miles? Assume "normal" conditions.

I am not a biologist. Hoever I know a couple.
For example Casey doing the study on the Rapid River said she has tracked fish from Cedar Stump to Middle Dam and back down in one day.
That is about 5 miles mabey more.

I agree with Blake - I have heard of trout traveling miles within a 24 hour period. I am not sure if their behavior changes under spawning conditions since there maybe some sort of courtship process that occurs. As we all know that can definately slow you down...
