This afternoon, my wife and I went kayaking on Pawtuckaway Lake. I parked in an area where people told me I might get a ticket, but, I figured I'ld take my chances. It was such a nice day, the every spot by the ramp was taken. The road in and out was also posted.

We were on the water for 2 to 2.5 hours. And when I got back, sure enough, there was a ticket. What is odd, and what frustrates me, is that I was in Pawtuckaway STATE park; at a New Hampshire Fish and Game boat ramp (built and maintained by F&G, through licenses and other fees), but the ticket I got was from the Town of Nottingham.

So, let me rant a bit here.

I knew I was parking where I shouldn't. The ticket is only 50 bucks. But it kinda, uhh... frustrates me, that the money is not going to Fish and Game. Why the hell should the town of Nottingham score this cash?

I'm half tempted to send the fine into Fish and Game and tell Nottingham to go get it from them.

After driving for an hour to get to the lake, I wasn't about to turn around and go home because there was no parking.

How can we get Fish and Game to make appropriate sized parking lots at the ramp, if the money goes to the town. It's a friggin' cash cow for little old Nottingham.

OK ...end of rant. Thanks.
