I drove past their shop a few minutes ago and I'm pretty sure the sign reads "Stoneriver". I was thinking at the time that they should identify it as a FF shop, as it would be a good name for a pottery studio.
Riverstones are dangerous (explosive) -- maybe the name had bad connotations (I liked it tho').
Best regards,

Very strange indeed!
Maybe someone had already registered "Riverstone" as a trade name and Dan had to change his store name.
Does that mean my "Riverstone Outfitters" hat is now a collectible?
:)
A quick google shows a "Riverstone Networks" company in the router and other networking equipment field. Different business space, so there "should be" no name overlap.

Yes we did change our name. We ran across a couple possible problems with our name with a few other companies, some in state and some nationwide. It seemed like a smart idea this early in the game to just change it now so we wouldn't run into any possible problems in the future, especially when our catalog ships out later this fall. A little proactive cover to insure that we aren't advertising for someone else. Got two bonuses out of it though, made this website again, and was able to get rid of that annoying - in our old web address etc.
As for the hats and shirts as collectors items, you never know. We are shooting to be big so maybe in a few years you can say, "I knew those guys when..." Would have posted it sooner, but want the new name all in place before I said anything. I did loose the "fly guy" on the sign, but still our shop logo. Do to sign size restrictions and the comments from customers that it was a little hard to see, just went for larger letters. Still really not big enough, but it was the best I could do.
Hope to see you all this fall and good luck on the water.

Best wishes with the new name.
So can we think of this as "2 new fly shops opened up in Bedford?"
:)
