Stream Thermometer

Im wondering where people keep their stream thermometer. I seem to go through an inordinate amount of thermometers (at least 2 a season) due to loosing them, (having them fall out of my pack, misplacing them, etc), i usually keep it in the front pocket in my pack, im reticent to keep it on a zinger in case it breaks banging against a rock. any thougths?

How about on a zinger inside a pocket?

Well, I keep mine attached to a "zinger." (I'm assuming a zinger is a retractable lanyard.) But I keep the thermometer tucked in a vest pocket nevertheless. Of course, that is when I wear a vest. :)

thanks for the advice gentlemen, i think im gonna use a short peice of lanyard that came on a pair of dr slick clamps i have and connect that to a D ring on the inside pocket on my pack
