As of Monday I will be living in Vermont. I will be living about 20 minutes from the Connecticut River Trophy Stretch so I will be still just as active on this site. I am excited because now I have a better reason to start fishing Vermont.
Vermont is a great state to fish, with a lot of big water and small technical streams. You'll have a lot of fun there.
It still baffles me that Vermont and Maine can have such great opportunities to catch big, healthy, wild fish, and we in NH, stuck smack dab in the middle, have so few. It's off topic, but atleast you're moving in the right direction.
Good luck and let us know what you find up there.

Now that your there, when you get the chance fish the Lamoille R., Hardwick ,West all the way to Lake Champlain. It is one of the best managed and least fished rivers in the entire Northeast. Maybe the Northeast Kingdom's best kept secret.
You'll find stretches managed for all three species of trout. If I remember correctly its Route 16 all the way. Call inland fisheries and ask for a copy of the managment plan . A few years ago I wrote an article on the river and fished the whole stretch, Hardwick to the Lake. I'm serious when I say you might not see another fisherman.
A classic New England trout stream. You'll love it.

Plow, I'll trade some flies for a maple cream pie. Although the flies are easier to mail.

Relheok,
Let us know what the night life is like up there. Lowwall is telling me that I have to go on next years trip, but I will only go if there is something at least on the same level as McGarvey's.

I have a little kid now so my night life consists of night feedings. No more bar for me, however there are 2 bars up there that "might" be okay. The Spa and Buck Rub Pizza Pub. Aside from that, the fishing is better than Manchesters!
