Interesting article. If this product does become widespread it might limit a lot of the chemicals that get into our waters through detergents and cleaning products.

In addition to its many applications and benefits, I wonder if it or some derivative of it can be used as a sealant or as a coating for clothing and fabric like waders, jackets and tents? Some of the most detrimental things to waterproof fabrics are dirt and UV, the article says that this is adept at stopping both. Plus the added benefit of maybe preventing mildew and mold growth.
