Hi:

This shop is local to me, and is hosting a show this WE. I do frequent the shop occasionally, or they will ship, if you want to call.

You interested in any #10s?

Thanks for the offer but I don't care for that hook in #10. It is the #4 & #6 I need the most.
I have a fly I tie on this hook which will not work on any other hook, GO FIGURE!

Thanks

Bobby

This is a low water salmon hook. What is the fly you tie on this hook may I ask?
I have some, # 4 but not available.

Sharing the fly is something I am not privileged to do. The basic concept for the fly belongs to a friend for whom I tie flies. I can't betray his trust. The fly has little value except to an Atlantic salmon angler. Sorry.

Thank you very much!
The #4 and #6 are what I want with the #4 first in line. If you can find boxes of 50 or 100 hooks ea. that would be great 200 #4 and 100 #6 hooks is what I am looking for at this time. Don't purchase the 15in a pk at high prices though, avoid that please.
I picked up some "new and improved" Mustad salmon hooks 3 x light wire the other day. At first glance they looked great but after close examination of the hooks at home I find the point extends a bit farther than I believe it should be knowing, how salmon nip at the fly. The sweeping bend is a beautiful curve but I believe it is excessive and will change the tying of a wet in a manner I don't care for. On a positive note the quality of the production is the best I have ever seen from Mustad! The turned up eye is well tailored, the finish is top notch and the strength of the steel appears to be excellent as is the barb and point. As to the purpose for which I need the #90240 hooks it isn't any better than the pile of Partridge Wilson hooks I have which are no better for this fly.

Good Luck hunting the show!

Thanks again!

Sorry, they only had them in pkgs of 15, in #6 and #8, fir, I think 2.95. The shop was mobbed at the show, I ended up putting everything I had in my hand back on the racks and walking out, to avoid overspending. Put my $$ into the raffles instead. If you're at the get together next week, I'll have a few Gamakatsu T10-6H hooks, which is a heavy size 6 salmon hook.
