Since there seems to many questions that pop up from time to time about fishing tandem fly rigs, i thought i'd post this article (click (http://www.midcurrent.com/articles/gear/monahan_seeing_double.aspx)) about various ways to assemble two fly rigs. it has some interesting combos that i've never thought about before, like the nymph with streamer trailer rig.

pete,

I've had some fun with two fly rigs. Here is a short piece I wrote on one approach two flies (http://www.overmywaders.com/articles/whentwoisbetter.html)

On some FFO waters (e.g., Maine) it is technically illegal to use a tandem rig where the tail fly is attached to the bend of the hook of the dropper. Some might say that the wardens allow it, however, wardens are not paid to interpret the law, but to enforce it. The courts interpret the law and I have little doubt that their interpretation would be the literal one. Just an FYI.

Best regards,
Reed
