what a great board here, first the Maine board, now NH, getting closer to VT. Any other Vermonters out there. Where are you planning on fishing on opening day? Im thinking about some small tribs to the Mad that always seem to hold nice brookies. Not much beats poking around the backcountry with a little 2 weight rod and day pack.

I'm going to be fishing the White River this spring as well as the Lamoil and Winooski.

Having a place in Rochester, I fish the White almost exclusively. DGenerally hit the tribs in late april, then onto the brances and main stem come mid to late may.

Any suggestions about fishing the Gihon? E.g. good places to get into the river.
