Well guys, it is the time of year when you need to take a good hard look at the gear closet and see what can go and what will stay. Tough choices to be made for sure! So here goes:

Sold L.L. Bean Range Bag (Large) - Bag is like new. Mostly sat in the back of my truck (inside) and shows virtually no use. Comes complete - shoulder strap and hull bag. Enough room for everything you need to take to the range and about 6 boxes of 12 gauge shells. You can take a look at it here: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/59171?from=SR&feat=sr
Asking $40 - Retail $70

Sold Smith Optics Threshold Slider Sunglasses (Graphite) - These are brand new never worn except to check the fit. They come with 4 sets of lenses - Polarized Brown, Clear Mirror, RC30 (like a rose), and yellow. Great glasses just never used them. Didn't really fit my head very well. See them here: http://www.smithoptics.com/products/#/Sunglasses/Premium+Performance/Threshold+Slider/view/
Asking $70 - Retail $140

Sale PendingL.L. Bean Rapid River Wading Boot Mens Size 11. I bought these boots as a backup pair and used them very rarely. They are a couple of years old but worn maybe 3 times. They are cleaned up and won't have any invasives. These have the AquaStealth soles with no studs. The sole is essentially the same as the current West Branch wading boots. http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/59413?from=SR&feat=sr If you want pics of the actual boot e-mail me.
Asking $50 - Retailed at about $149 if I remember right.

SoldSimms G4 Guide Wading Boot Mens Size 11 - These boots are in excellent shape. I bought these at the end of 2009 expecting to hit it hard in 2010. Life has a way of changing your plans. These hit the water about 6 times. These are the StreamTread soles with no studs (although they could be added - Simms offers two different versions of cleats). I actually really like these boots a lot. I moved over to Korkers as I really like the Boa system and the interchangeable soles. No complaints about these other than they can be a tad heavy.

Asking $100 - Retail for $220.

Sold L.L. Bean 9'0" 5 WT Travel Rod 9 piece - This one breaks my heart. This is a really nice dry fly rod. The action is very near my old Sage LL. This thing has been out of the tube maybe once. I love the action I just don't use it. These rods made excellent pack rods - the tube is like 14" long. The tube has a pocket for each piece of the rod so there is no sock. I hope this goes to a new home where it will be lovingly used.
Asking $75 - Retailed for somewhere around $189 (I think)

If you want actual pics of any of the items or if you have any questions or if you are interested in purchasing any of these send me a PM and we'll work it out. Keep checking back as I might add more items and I'll keep it updated as to what goes.

Dang--I wish I'd been able to grab that rod!
I reckon I was sleeping.
:-)

That's all right--my Miroku barrels arrived at Mike Orlen's today for screw in chokes.
That will keep me for a week or so.
:)

That really was a sweet rod. I just couldn't bear seeing gather dust any longer. Still, it breaks my heart to see it go. But there is some brightness in knowing that it is going to be well used where it is going!

Is he going to thread it for Briley tubes? I'm shooting the Frozen 6 #4 next weekend in Scarborough. Hope it isn't sub-zero :)

Not sure yet, Rich.
I'm waiting for a call to discuss options based on wall thickness.
I think there is enough meat to allow for standard choke sets.
I already have two Trulocks (SK1/SK2) that are the nice stainless extended sporting clay model from that company --that I used in a Lightning Feather I used to own. If possible, I'll ask Mike to ream and thread for those same Invector Plus tubes and order a couple more.

That's a good idea. Those are pretty common tubes and you can find them at decent prices.

P.S. For everyone else, three items left. Get them while they are hot!

Only the boots are left. I am still going through the closet, however. :)
