Mal, you cant handle the out-a-statah's on your 3500 miles of Maine coastline, what the heck are you going to do on New Hampshire's 13 miles.;-):)

...I thought we had 18 miles.

Oh, the disappointment.

It depends on how small your ruler is...

Have they even set out guidelines between Maine and NH salt water

Yes, it ends at Cape Neddick.

This link will connect you to the regs. $16 to be legal.
If you already have a Maine salt license it may be reciprocal in NH?
That's true of Mass, RI, and CT. This detail needs to be verified.

I heard (haven't we all heard something) that it's Maine specific because it mainly (pun intended) just covers central Maine and up north.

Thanks for the link. Would they be selling these licenses in sporting goods stores ? K.T.P. maybe ?

I would think any store that sells the freshwater licenses would also sell you a saltwater one. The two licenses are almost identical.

There appears to be some reciprocity allowing NH licensed salt fishers to fish in MASS and part of Maine.

From the NH regs:
Q: Where can I fish with the license?
A: Your N.H. Recreational Saltwater Fishing License allows you to fish in N.H. coastal and estuarine waters, and in Maine up to Cape Neddick. You may also fish all Massachusetts coastal and estuarine waters with your N.H. Recreational Saltwater Fishing License.

Yes, it covers Mass as well. RI covers mass too. I'm very well covered for Mass this year. :)

So what do I (NH resident) have to buy to fish Maine saltwater north of Cape Neddick? I can't seem to find a Maine SW license on their website (just the $64 non resident maine fishing license... which is the same price as last year).

Hextall,

Take a look. Maine is looking to get rid of the striper endorsement this month, but a final decision has not been made yet.

We shall see:

So the answer is register, but don't buy the striper endorsement now.

I got up to the point where they asked me for $2. I think I'll wait.
