Now this is just a test run. If it works you are looking at my newest creation. It is called District Chief if memory of my old Boss who just died at 83.

If in fact the name of the file is "resized", then you've forgotten the ending. (like .jpg)

Actually it was more than that. When you upload a named image to the Personal Web Page for my ISP you can't have any spaces. It didn't recognize the file name as being acceptable. Hey, I'm in a learning curve here. Like I said up front that was a test. My fly tying knowledge far outweighs my computer knowledge. So let's try this again.

No that I think of it, would you post the recipe and any special tying instructions?

OK here goes:

Hook: Daiichi 2370 #2
Tag: Gold Tinsel
Body: Dark Olive Floss
Throat: Dark Yellow Buck Tail as gold as you can find it with same color shlappen beard style to the length of the cheek (1/3 wing)
Wing: Two silver pheasant crests followed by four Highlander Green saddles (two opposing two) with a black saddle on the outside of each topped with a full golden pheasant crest to length of the wing
Cheek: 1st a golden pheasant back/rump feather a little longer than the next which is a middle of the back feather from an olive dyed ringneck pheasant 1/3 length of wing
Eye: jungle cock nail showing second eye
Head: Black thread
Rib: Gold tinsel (almost forgot that one and it won't let me go back to put it where it belongs)

Note: I glue the golden pheasant rump feather, the olive ringneck back feather, and the jungle cock eye together before I apply it like a Carry Stevens style tie.

Beautiful looking fly. The wonderfull thing about it is, everytime you tie or fish that fly you will think of him. You have honord him in your own way. We should all be so luckey to have someone do that when we are gone.

Sorry about that Skilly. If you look now at my second post you'll see the fly. I uploaded another fly for a different forum today and deleted the District Chief off of the web site so it disapeared off of the post where I finally was able to show it. This is a big step for me here to figure all this stuff out without electrocuting myself or going absolutly mad. But it's there now, I hope and I'll leave it on the web site untill I need the room, I guess.

I did take a picture of the OLD CHIEF, the fly, and one of his "District Chief" chevrons to the framer today. I'm going to have it all framed together and give it to his daughter. It should look pretty neat. I think it will mean a great deal to her.
