Hi Everyone!

Just moved back to NH after living in the UK for 6 mos. All my rods and reels and most of my gear are in storage in Atlanta as I decided to come back home to NH instead. It will be a while before I can afford to fetch everything so they will prob be there through the winter and I just can't wait that long to go fishing! I may as well be practicing my casting and get a line wet.

I do have my waders and boots (took them to UK with me!) but borrowed kit when I was there. I also have some of my flies and my little vest pack (at least the front of it) with some tippet, clippers, knife, etc.).

Looking for just a cheap simple setup that will get out casting while I am awaiting a job offer to come through. I am going a bit stir crazy not having anything to do here.

I am in Concord, BTW but would find transportation to pick up within prob 30 miles or in the lakes region area.

Many thanks,

Kristina

It doesn't say the weights.... I think I am going to check out Seirra Trading Post- they made a mistake once and totally made it up to me with a free rod/reel combo and a bunch of credit, too. It was incredible. I had forgot all about that, not to mention the setups I got are fine....

Hi Kukukajoo,

I've got a setup that I hardly use and would be willing to lend to you until you get your gear back.

I work in Concord and live 30 minutes north.

Let me know if you're interested.

Chris

Thank you Chris (Statler) for meeting me this afternoon and for the loan of the lovely 5 weight set up!

Soon as I hear from my brother I will call and try to set up some striper fishing- he lives right down there and knows how to find em!

Thanks again,

Kristina

I picked up a nice 3# from ll bean. I got the cheap on for $99. I like it a lot. 6' for streams but I can cast pretty far with it and it does a decent rollcast. I think it's a quest.

Nice job Chris... !
Kudos to you for that one...
Flyfishermen(women) helping flyfishermen(women)...that would be a good mission statement for this forum.
Alot of us probably could have spared a set-up and taken the chance...I thought about it for a minute...but that was about it.
Im thinking the fish gods will show their approval and smile on you accordingly.
