I liked the 4 and 5 wts in the parking lot at the local shop. Can anyone chime in on how they fish? Thanks,
Tight Lines, Bull.

i am huge winston fan, i have a WT, LTR, and an BIIX. the boron is a nice crisp rod that really turns over the line well. for a fast action its really responsive and smooth.

I also have the BIIX in a 9 foot 5 weight, great all around rod for throwing streamers to tossing drys. I have a sci anglers GPX line on it, and it is an excellent combo with the BIIX.....

I have a SLT 590 but was intrigued by the BIIX's when they first came out. One of the newer local shops was nice enough to talk the Winston rep into letting me try the 9' 5 wt. BIIX. After using both for a couple of days on rivers and ponds it was apparent to me the SLT was the better fishing rod. The BIIX sure can cast a long line, and is real pretty, but IMO did not roll cast, mend, load, feel, or fish as well. The BIIX also felt heavier in the hand.
It's only one rod weight in the series, and the BIIX is held in high regard. If possible, try (ideally fish) as many different rods as possible. If I just cast the BIIX in a parking lot, I probably would have bought one.
