Jammin' Salmon

Had to swing down to the local shop(Opeechee Trading Post) to get some tying supplies and lo and behold I walked in on a box full of new necks, feathers and crests! The owner was still unpacking them as I offered to help(always nice to get first dibs!). He had a great variety of high quality necks at some great prices. Anyone looking for some great golden pheasant crest get there--I left a few!
The new owner has done a great job at getting this landmark shop up and running again--the Cotton family would be proud!

Hi Rick,
Glad to hear that his stock came in. I'll have to swing by some time this week. You hit the nail on the head - Jim is a real nice guy and has done a great job with the shop. It's a fun little place to visit and gawk at all the antique fishing paraphanalia

Thanks for reminding me.
I need to stop by and meet the owner and see what he is carrying for inventory.
I am still working on the fly itinerary for the Fall Fly Tying class through the Laconia Adult Education program. All the students from this winter's class would have preferred to buy materials locally versus my preferred suppliers, Line's End and WS Hunters.
In fact, we will probably have a class field trip to the shop.
I used to remember walking past the shop 25 years ago as I used to walk to the middle school from Lakeport via Messer street. I am glad some salmon made their way into the Lake from the fall. Kind brings back the old times when the shoreline was filled with people on opening day around the old dock.
Things sure move in cycles.
