Eric,
I saw the picture. Nice 'bow!
I'll be there for a couple hours tomorrow and hope I get into one like that.

Gerry,
Thanks for the information! Hopefully I'll be in town that week, but looking at the schedule it tentatively looks as if I'll be in Gorham, ME. I am a bank examiner and requires a good amount of travel throughout the New England area.
If I don't catch up with you guys Dec 8, I'll be sure to be there in Jan.

Jon, Any large patterns will catch fish: Jim likes to tie Stimulators in cream/white/tan colors. I prefer to tie parachute mayfly patterns with mixed yellow/tan dubbing and antron trailing shuck. All in dry fly hook size 8 and 10. This hatch comes off on almost all the trout ponds in the area around Errol starting about June 25 through mid-July.
We talked to S. Perry and R. Fawcett about late season stocking. They said they had no additional fish to allocate, but would consider stocking part of the spring allotment in the fall. The fish would be a little smaller because they are stocked a few months early, but at least would provide some fall fishing opps. We'll see how that goes. We have not organized any private stocking funding. Maybe fall stocking will be better, since most of the lowlifes will be off jacklighting deer rather than poaching trout.

Gerry, What ever became of the DHZ and the attempt to get some late brood stock browns? From what I understand, that is not something we can count on as in the past. Fisheries biologists will have to allocate fish according to guidelines.
2) And more important to me. I enjoyed your talk at the GBTU meeting about the Hex hatch in the Andro in early June. I did not take notes and have never done it. What flies do you use to approximate this hatch. What time of day? And when do you think would be the best dates to go up this year based on current conditions so far this spring?

Gerry, Just received your message. I appreciate the help! Hopefully with a group effort we can fix this problem. I tried to get out of work for the TU meeting but missed it. See you in September or whenever the get togethers are!
