I would suggest not adding flouro to a mono...

I would suggest not adding flouro to a mono leader. The flouro will cut through the mono. I learned the hard way.

I'd say you'd be fine to use it. I've done this before on a remote pond that had an old row boat. Just make sure to turn it over and tie it back up.
