I've used double surgeons exclusively for many, many years. I echo Nate's comments - never had a problem, fast and simple enough to tie anywhere, anytime - including in the dark.

I bought Orvis Floating DT Wonderline about 3 years ago and had it fail pretty badly on me this past weekend.

Big chunks of coating started flaking off of the line and unfortunately it happened...

The TFO is a bit heavier, but casts just great and given the cost differential I suggest you go cast...
