You guys should got to one of these craft supply stores (Marc there is one across the stree from your office). They have perfect solutions for compartmentalizing small items.
They have these really nifty screw together stackable clear hard plastic containers of different sizes, for instance.
I'll see if I can find pictures.

I'm also using these for hooks and dubbing.

That is a great site Warren. I bought a bunch of tins for the different tea's that we have from them a couple years ago. I am planning on getting some of there square tin clear top hindged containers as well as some glass ones from them once I know what will fit. They have some really great stuff.

Ok, I know this is just insane money, but this cabinet is incredible! If you look at the pics on the listing the draws would be perfect for thread, capes etc...
Wow

That's a nice piece of craftsmanship, but the Mrs. would steal it for quilting supplies.

Are you on your way to pick the cabinet up yet?
How's the room coming along? Almost ready for furniture?

Isnt that cabinet something. Boy I wish I could find something like that in a barn or yard sale. I just missed out on a nice Map cabinet. The search continues.

The room is coming along. I installed a new door last night with glass so I dont quite feel like it is a shed. The tile floor goes in tomorrow. I just laid out some cabinets, desk and tops but they take 4+ weeks to get. I am just not positive that is the way I want to go yet.

I just won a thread cabinet I was bidding on. I should have it in a few days. It looks like it will do exactly what I want for thread & floss etc.
