Default DIY Roof Mount Flyrod rack

I just built myself a lockable Roof Mount Flyrod rack so I don't have to break down my fly rods anymore so I thought I'd share what I came up with. PS.PARTS WERE UNDER $30

Thanks! I've been trying to figure out a way to build the box section for a couple years now but it always ended up being too expensive or to complicated then it hit me! The ammo box, super easy and it locks.

That's a great solution for a pickup rack. In my Sonata, if I put the back seat down, I can fit my 10 footer forward into the front seat passenger foot well. But it limits the passenger. I've also seen a Nissa SUV fitted with an interior ceiling mount system. In that case my 10 ft unit slides a bit down the windshield.
