Can anyone recommend a guide for the Middle Provo? Am planning a spring trip and would like to hire a guide for one day before hitting the river on my own. General tips for fishing that area would be welcome. -- Dave

Check out Jim and Dan at Back Country Chronicles. I only say this because Jim has a many YouTube videos - quite a few of which are on the Provo and it appears he does quite well. Other than that I couldn't tell ya.

Thank you, Sean. I watched a couple of the entertaining videos and e-mailed Jim and Dan, who certainly know their way around the Provo. -- Dave

Default Middle Provo

Dave
I have been going there at least one a year for the last 15 years. Great place and amazing fishery, but you will not be alone. Spring can be difficult depending on the run-off, great if you get there before it happens.

Getting a guide to get you dialed in s a great idea. I still do it today. Chris Kunkel used to run the Park City Fly shop, he grew up there and knows every rock in the river. He gave up the shop but still guides

His email is <parkcityflyshop@gmail.com>

I am going out again the first week of July next year.

If you want to we can set up time to chat happy to help.
Steve
