GeoCaching....
Anyone else do it? Found a good one today by a lake. I love all the new places it brings me. Got some good moose pics too.

Hey Relheok - Sell that GPS and buy another fly rod!

I think that it would be fun. If I didn't already have enough to do, I'd get into it. I'd like to hear more about it and your experiences.

Well, I don't have a dedicated GPS for it, but my car GPS works just fine. I will touch on the broken rod topic in a minute.
I don't even remember how I can across GeoCaching, it might have even been Brandon (Ziggy) who mentioned it to me. None the less, you pic a geographical area and the website lists Cache's that have been hidden by other members. They vary in size and terrain difficulties. They sometimes give you hints. They list GPS coords and then you have to hike in, hike up or sometimes just get out of your car and find the hidden cache. Sometimes they are as small as a 35MM canister and contain just a sheet to sign your name showing you've been there while they can be as big as rubbermaid totes and contain objects, that you can trade off. It's a great way to learn new areas and find stuff you never knew existed, like the crashed bomber over in NH. So I went to a local one, on a lake thats sort of on a seasonal road. I'll attach two pictures, visit the link and if you have a GPS and you like to hike/be outdoors then you'll like this GeoCaching.

Great pic of the wee moose!
Watch out for mama--a mama moose can be a fearsome and dangerous critter.
You probably know that...but it reminded me of a time back.....

Relheok,
Did you make it up to the bomber site? I hope the directions I gave you were acurate.
It is a pretty cool and powerful thing to see.
